OHSAS18001 Occupational Health and Safety System Certification

Compliant with OHSAS18001 certification principles
The structure of OHSAS18001 standard is related to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards, especially in areas related to identifying, controlling, and reducing work hazards, where there are differences from the aforementioned standards. In addition to QMS and EMS, independent systems certified according to ISO 45001 have also been established, or these systems are simultaneously built as integrated systems. The OHSAS18001 certificate ensures that the occupational health and safety management system established by the company has been evaluated by recognized certification bodies and meets the requirements of the OHSAS18001 standard.
Release of new standard OHSAS18001
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has released a new ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems - Requirements and Guidelines for Use. The new ISO 45001:2018 standard was released on March 12, 2018, and the company's three-year transition period for implementing the standard is from that date until December 3, 2021. The validity of certificates issued according to CSN OHSAS 18001:2008/BS OHSAS 18001:2007 has been established in parallel - the latest version is 12.3.2021.
The certification and re certification of the management system according to OHSAS 18001:2007 will be conducted before March 12, 2020. Due to the limitations of certificates issued under OHSAS 18001:2007, we recommend that all applicants for certification and re certification begin timely planning and implementing plans to incorporate ISO 45001:2018 requirements into their occupational health and safety management systems.
In order to migrate from OHSAS 18001:2007 to ISO 45001:2018, IAF (International Accreditation Forum) has released document IAF MD 21:2018, which stipulates an increase of one audit staff day to validate the new ISO 45001 requirements for OHSAS 18001.
